Gentle, effective care for the little ones you love the most

Bringing your child to an acupuncturist for the first time can feel like a big step. We hear that a lot, and we're here to make it easy. Pediatric acupuncture at VIBE is nothing like what you might be imagining. Treatments are gentle, age-appropriate, and often don't involve needles at all. Most kids leave relaxed, and many actually look forward to coming back.

Children respond to acupuncture remarkably quickly, and often faster than adults. Their systems are less burdened by years of accumulated stress and compensation patterns, which means the medicine has a cleaner path to work with. What takes an adult several sessions to shift can often move in one or two treatments in a child.

What to expect

Every pediatric appointment starts with a conversation. We'll discuss your child's health history, current symptoms, diet, sleep, temperament, and anything else that feels relevant. This is as much a visit for you as it is for your child. You'll leave with a clear understanding of what we're seeing and practical techniques you can use at home to support your child between visits.

Treatment techniques are always age-appropriate. For infants and toddlers we rely primarily on gentle massage, acupressure, and non-insertive tools. For older children we may use brief, hair-thin needles at specific points. Most kids barely notice them. We move at your child's pace, always.

I recently started bringing my 2 year old and it has made the world of difference with her GI issues, more than anything else has. She always asks what day she is going and tells everyone that she goes to ‘aquepunter’.

A note for parents who are nervous

The most common question we get is, "Will my child be scared?"

The honest answer: some kids are briefly uncertain, and that's completely fine. We're experienced at working with children who are nervous, and we never push past a child's comfort level. The tools we use for younger children involve no needles whatsoever, we work with just gentle touch and acupressure. For older children, the needles are so fine that most describe them as feeling like almost nothing at all.

We find that when parents are calm and curious, children follow their lead. Come in open-minded and let us take it from there.
